Abstract | The Ramsey House is located just north of Ramsey road (County Road 224) and east of Brandywine Creek in Brandywine Hundred, New Castle County. The dwelling stands as a two-story, rubble stone dwelling reflecting two major periods of nineteenth-century construction activity and a third modern remodeling episode. Overall, the house is in sound condition with the greatest degree of historic architectural integrity associated with the first construction phase in the first quarter of the nineteenth century. | |
