| Abstract | Este trabajo indaga sobre la fecundidad de la categoría “asistidos” en el estudio de los espacios asistenciales en la sociedad argentina en las primeras décadas del siglo XX y su conformación como un grupo con identidades múltiples, fragmentadas y heterogéneas, definidas a través de relaciones de dependencia, reciprocidad desigual y resistencias. Esta contribución también se enmarca en el estudio de las relaciones de dominación y el papel que juegan los subordinados en las mismas y pretende hacer un aporte a las complejas relaciones sociales entre las elites asistenciales y los subalternos en las instituciones de ayuda social. Abstract This paper investigates the fecundity of the “human services recipient” category in the study of welfare programs in the early decades of the 20th century in Argentina. It also looks at the construction of the assisted as a group with multiple, fragmented and heterogeneous identities defined through relationships of dependency, unequal reciprocity and resistance. Also studied are the relations of dominance and the role of subordinates in this relationship in hopes of contributing to the understanding of the complex social relations between the welfare program elites and the subalterns in the social welfare institutions. | en_US |
