Series X. Individual flowers, 1905-1991

Contains material relating directly to specific varieties of plants bred or licensed by the Conard-Pyle Company. Each individual file is devoted to a single variety of plant, of which the majority is roses, and contains documentation relating to the patenting, licensing and the transferring of such rights from hybridizer to grower. Many files also include photographs and descriptive narratives about each variety, as well as any relevant correspondence between the original hybridizer and the Conard-Pyle Company. Also included, for those files concerning licensed plants, are patent assignments or other transfers of rights and ownership. Many varieties of rose are represented, including a large selection of AARS award-winners such as "Scarlet Knight," "Bonica," "White Knight," "Scarabande," "Fire King" and "Carefree Wonder."
