AbstractThe objective of this study was to evaluate the 45 short courses that had been offered by Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, between March, 1964 and June, 1968, consisted of one to twelve meetings and covered various subjects related to horticulture, A total of 22 inatructors was involved. Information was gathered by a questionnaire requiring checks and short answers. of which 823, or 75 percent, were returned. The courses and The questionnaires were mailed to 1098 participants The basic nineteen-point questionnaire covered personal data, general horticultural information, and 'course suggestions. Questionnaires were amended with additional page08 of questions concerning the particular courses in which a person had enrolled.
